Company History

C&M Rubber Company, located in Dayton, Ohio, specializes in the fabrication of rubber products using silicone and other synthetic thermosetting elastomer's.  

Founded in 1964 by Bill Crawford and Al McCloskey, C&M Rubber Co. modestly started as a distributor for Uniroyal selling a host of rubber products, including o-rings, gaskets, hose, v-belts and  conveyer belt.  In the late 60's to early 70's, the company was awarded a number of military contracts to produce  rocket seals.  Gaining experience and expertise in tooling  design, materials application and silicone molding, Al and Bill soon ventured into other markets.  Building on their solid foundation, our current horizons have expanded to serving a variety of markets, including the  Medical, Food Service, Aerospace, Military and High Tech Commercial markets.  This balanced approach to market diversification has allowed C&M Rubber to enjoy continued growth and financial stability.  

Many of our present customers have found that our ability to assist them in prototyping a new part or reworking a present component is a valuable service.  Our efficient "floating mold" technique, allows us to adapt to tooling design changes and subsequent sample requests in a matter of days rather than weeks.  In the event that you award C&M with the molding contract, the same molding techniques allow us to become a "just-in-time" business partner, with the ability to respond to part requirement emergencies with no expensive molding surcharges.

Our 10,000 square foot facility (pictured above) houses our administrative offices, testing laboratory, compounding and mill room, manufacturing floor and warehouse.
